Insurance Shoppers, Inc. is the sole owner of the data obtained on this website. We do not use “cookies”, and we only collect the information necessary to compare health and life insurance policy options and communicate with you. (name, birth date, gender, zip code, height, weight, phone number, and email). You will not have to provide any personal or confidential information (social security number, policy numbers, etc) until you apply for a health insurance or life insurance policy. If you would like us to help you find coverage with respect to a pre-existing medical condition, you may provide us with the details of your medical history and we will use them to prescreen health and life insurance policies for you. During the prescreen process, we do not use any personally identifying details in our correspondence with medical underwriters at insurance companies.  Once you’ve gotten a policy you’re satisfied with, we destroy any personal health information as a security measure for our clients.

If you apply for a policy using an online application, please note that all of the health insurance and life insurance companies use encryption to make your information 100% secure. Most insurance carriers use VeriSign certified SSL 128 bit encryption technology to protect your personal data. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas uses a Java cryptography extension PKCS #5: Password Based Encryption Standard.

We will only use the personal information you submit to us in order to respond to you, and assist you in getting a health insurance or life insurance policy. Insurance Shoppers Inc. does not share personal information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to assist you, e.g. to provide quotes or insurance information to you.

At Insurance Shoppers, Inc. we will provide you with courteous, professional service while maintaining your privacy as an utmost priority. Unless you request otherwise, we may contact you via email in the future to inform you of policy changes, new products or services, or changes to our privacy policy.

We pride ourselves in the precautions we take to protect your personal information. Any information you submit on our website is protected both online and offline.

Any personal information that we collect (such as address and phone number), is encrypted and transmitted to us securely. We have transitioned to being nearly 100% paperless, so documents that may have sensitive information are in secure, encrypted files

We also ensure that we protect your information offline, after it has been transmitted to us. A client’s personal information is only provided to employees who need it to perform a specific job, e.g. underwriting prescreens, preparing quotes, etc. The computers and servers where we store sensitive information are maintained in a secure environment and all paper waste is shredded.
